The software doesn’t allow for “rooster” or “hen”, just species, and it requires that you chose whether an animal is neutered and what sex it is.

And yes, male chickens can be neutered, they’re called capons and are apparently quite tasty.

They use a long needle like instrument to insert in the side (special location, not just anywhere! you are rupturing the tiny little male organ inside) but now they just use chemicals then force feed the poor buggers.
