[UPDATE 4 p.m.] Work on Redwood Drive to Impact Traffic This Week

construction ahead signTomorrow, a construction crew will be preparing Redwood Drive between Redway and Garberville for slurry sealing. There will be one way controlled traffic.

Starting on Wednesday, June 13, a construction crew will be laying slurry seal over Redwood Drive between Redway and Garberville. At this time, drivers will have to wait for a pilot car to take them through the construction zone. This is expected to last for at least Thursday and Friday. It may also extend to Monday of the following week.

County crews will be working between 8:30 to 4 p.m. If you can avoid Redwood Drive by driving around on Hwy 101, that could be a better option.

UPDATE 4 p.m.: Press release from Public Works:

The Humboldt County Department of Public Works will be slurry sealing Redwood Drive starting from P.M. 0.50 at the North Garberville Highway 101 Off Ramp to Redway Drive, P.M. 2.1, Redway.

Construction is scheduled to begin June 12, 2018, with a completion date of June 18, 2018. Expect traffic delays during construction. A Pilot Car will be directing traffic through the construction area.

If you have any concerns or questions, please contact Denton Carrick, Area Road Supervisor at (707) 445-7421.

We thank you in advance for your patience and look forward to the completion of this project.
