Hope the log truck driver is ok
Is the log truck driver the one who got hurt?It said one person was hurt.I sure hope they are both ok.
I am assuming that it was the pickup driver was the one injured from the photos I added.
I would hope everyone is ok
Careful, sarcasm is dangerous these days.
That pickup is going to need repainting.
well- yesterday I was worried about a logging truck full of logs driving with wheels in emergency lane driving s on peninsula
That truck is empty
I’m assuming that the driver of the F150 was injured unfortunately; based on the photos. Drivers that have never been in a Semi Truck (being a driver of one or sitting passenger) don’t understand how many blind spots Semi’s have, how slow and hard it is to stop sometimes (loaded or empty. They don’t “stop on a dime!”), and how hard it is to get going forward from a stopped position (once again loaded and empty). Sometimes they HAVE to continue through the yellow light and run a red light because they won’t be able to stop on time safely. After a long time of waiting in a turn lane, when they FINALLY see a gap where they can get across, they’ll go for it with the sincere hope that the oncoming traffic sees them starting to move forward and will slow down and let them through. They don’t have 5 speed automatic or manual transmissions. Most around here have 10 or 18 speed trans. It takes a lot to get going AND to stop because of how much the truck itself weighs. You’re only going to get to work 30 seconds faster by rudely cutting off the semi truck in front of you JUST to get to the on ramp that’s right ahead and given the truck driver a heart attack because a lot smaller vehicle got in front of him very closely and he can’t stop. And if you’re getting onto the highway and see a truck coming, either push that right pedal to the freaking floor or slow down and let them pass before you merge onto the highway. Once again, it takes a lot to slow down and stop for them. And they CANNOT SEE A SMALLER VEHICLE THAT IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEIR FRONT BUMPER! Don’t believe me? Next time you see a parked truck, walk right up to the front of it and see if you can see OVER the hood and through the windshield into the cab.
That driver is lucky he was in a truck, most of those kind of accidents result in death if it’s a passenger car
Was the guy in the pick-up truck playing with his phone?
I went by that way after the road reopened. I didn’t see any brake marks, looks like the driver of the pickup hit the logging truck with full force. How the hell do you not see a logging truck? Was DUI a factor?
The logging truck put on blinker and pulled to the shoulder of the road so the driver of the truck thought he was pulling over. So he started to drive past when all of the sudden the log truck driver pulled a u turn where there is a double yellow line. The driver of the truck didn’t have time to stop. And yes of course there is no skid marks. Anti lock brakes. The driver of the f150 was lucky to walk away. I was there on scene rite after it happened.
See this is what happens when people assume things the tractor driver is at fault he pulled to the side of the road and tried to make an illegal u-turn on a double yellow without checking his surroundings before doing so I understand about blind spots been towing trailers for many years and have had close calls myself there was nothing the driver of the pick up truck could do he was about to pass him when the tractor driver desided to turn
That is my uncles truck & luckily he is still with us.. And to the ones worried about the trucker be hurt they need to get a clue because who do you think would be hurt worse in the wreck & everyone wants to say I hope the trucker is ok really!!!!!!
