Wondering what the commotion was in Redway today?
This morning, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department responded to call for assistance on Whitmore Avenue in Redway.
“We went out there at 10 o’clock for a disturbance,” explained Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Samantha Karges. “It was a domestic violence call. The male half went to the Humboldt Correctional Facility.”
But, one of the vehicles there caught the attention of an officer. “While on scene,” Karges explained, “completely unrelated to this case, we found a stolen vehicle out of Utah.
Karges said that the vehicle had been reported stolen by a man. The man’s son was with the vehicle in Redway. He claimed that he had his father’s permission. He was released and the vehicle was held until the situation could be clarified.
