Therapy Dog Trained to Help Diabetic Is Missing
Spectrum, a therapy dog trained to help a local man deal with his diabetes, went missing last week. According to a friend of his owner, He was picked up by someone and taken up Alderpoint hill. The last known location of Spectrum was 4-5 miles up the Alderpoint Road from Garberville.
The friend explained, “His human has type 2 diabetes, which Spectrum is sensitive to. Spectrum’s job is to tell his human when to eat.”
Spectrum, a strawberry-blond pit bull mix, weighs about 50ish pounds. He is slightly skittish.
If anyone knows where Spectrum is or has information on where he may be they can call Richard at 423-617-8030 or contact the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at (707) 923-2761

Thank you Kym, been putting the word out on this dog and was very thankful to see information about him on your site!
Please let me know if there is anything else I can do.
Please just keep a look out through out the AP area. Was told that he was lost on a “Spring Hill road” or Hill Spring Rd? The white on white mid 2010ish Suburban that picked him up last week is back working on AP this week without any signal to give anyone any reliable info…
Thank you, Kym. These efforts are appreciated.
