Therapy Dog Trained to Help Diabetic Is Missing

Pit BullSpectrum, a therapy dog trained to help a local man deal with his diabetes, went missing last week. According to a friend of his owner, He was picked up by someone and taken up Alderpoint hill. The last known location of Spectrum was 4-5 miles up the Alderpoint Road from Garberville.

The friend explained, “His human has type 2 diabetes, which Spectrum is sensitive to. Spectrum’s job is to tell his human when to eat.”

Spectrum, a strawberry-blond pit bull mix, weighs about 50ish pounds. He is slightly skittish.
