City of Arcata Needs Volunteers to ‘Help Beautify Shay Park and Jolly Giant Creek’ This Saturday

This is a press release from the City of Arcata:

Arcata, CA – The City of Arcata’s Environmental Services Department is seeking volunteers to help remove litter and invasive plants from Shay Park and Jolly Giant Creek.

This Volunteer Work Day will take place on May 12, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Volunteers are asked to meet at 9 a.m. at 1385 Foster Avenue, located near the north end of Shay Park, and are advised to wear a long sleeve shirt, work pants and boots, and to bring water. Gloves, tools, beverages and lunch will be provided.

Arcata must be saving up for those lawsuits ehhhhh……. plenty of village idiots there to their dirty work the tax-payers have already paid them to do. I’m sure all the caring environmentalist students from HSU will be there!
