Eureka Beasts 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Teams Sweep 2018 NBBA Spring Classic

This is a press release from the Eureka Beasts:

6th grade Beasts with a victorious championship game win!! Final score 49-13!! Great job ladies we’re so proud of you all!! Go Beasts 🏀🦁

Eureka Beasts, an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) girls basketball organization based out of the Eureka area, swept the 2018 NBBA Spring Classic which was held in Marin County on April 21 to 22. Championship games were won by the 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls teams.

Players for the 6th grade team are Zanai Vainuku-Johnson, Mycalyn Vainuku, Leitala Vainuku, Laila Florvilus, Maleesa Miles, Rihana Fontenot, Kaitlin Giacone, Isis Poteet, Atianna Vainuku-Johnson and Haidyn Fulton.

Players for the 7th grade team are Ziamara Gee, Tatianna Ray, Kira Morris, Amaya Gee, Haylee Youkey, Puletele Fonoti, Sidney Madsen, Hudson Chase, Claire Maples and Sau’lele Tanuvasa.

Players for the 8th grade team are Bria Ferreira, Sophia Rosales, Yaretzi Solano, Haylee Howell, Allie Egbert, Yulianna Jimenez, Sierra Fulton and Kathryn Tinney.

The teams are coached by Jeremy Fulton, Eddy Vainuku, Romeo Steele, Ana Vainuku and Tony Miles.

The tournament was sponsored by the North Bay Basketball Academy. The next tournament for the Eureka Beasts will be the Singler Open on May 12 in Medford, Oregon.

7th grade Beasts finish the day with a Championship win, score 29-21 final!! Girls played amazing all weekend, way to end the day. Congratulations ladies well deserved!! Go Beasts 🏀🦁

Thank you Kym for running this. I appreciate you even more. Positive activities for teens are often not covered unless they are high school sports. Thanks again.

I’m a sucker for kids having fun doing cool things!
