How can this information be release to Shelter Cove residents along with all the tourists who are coming over here? Maybe posters here an in town, news release to Chamber of Commerce and possibly have RID put it on their emergency phone? Thankfully Sandy posted it on face book but not all people see that. Do we have an exact time that the road is closed? Lets us know so we all can work together, thanks, D

Since there is an alternative route and there will be signs, should not be an issue. Just a short detour.

Ok. I trust your judgement. Last time I went up there my car would struggle and I would turn down a incorrect road to get back out on Shelter Cove Road. And since I am traveling on that date I will cut my visit short with my parents so I get home way before dark so I can ask for help from one of the neighbors if needed. Thank you for your help.

I’ve gotten mixed up in that neck of the woods too but thinking the County would have signs at every intersection. You could make note of the directions above and map it out ahead. Safe travels.

This had been a ongoing mess since the bus driver discovered it. How long ago?? Months. May they decide to fix it. Makes no sense to me….
Yet, it is what it is.
?????,?????

They probably have to go through an extremely time consuming effort to get federal funds to fix the slide . There is a big country out there . Shelter cove rd isn’t the only road in the US that is failing . Thousands of communities have there own problems as well .

Resources are finite . They aren’t just going to snap their fingers and get it done . This is life . Deal with it

If our state legislators would stop siphoning transportation dollars for pet projects and boondoggles like the High Speed Rail that will have no effect on the North Coast, we would have safer roads. Unfortunately, our state legislators have their priorities upside down.
