Julia Morgan’s architectural work is legendary. For instance, she designed the fabulous buildings at the retreat center, Asilomar, just south of Monterey. Go see the rustic-grandeur of the dining hall. Etc.
This tour always seems to happen (once or twice a year?) when I am away. And will this time too. I really want to see it sometime. If you appreciate good architecture, DON’T MISS IT!
We did this the year before last and it was lovely. What a beautiful place!
Great idea! May all you Mother’s have a fine Day!
Hearst Castle is another incredible Morgan Masterpiece, L9ve to go up there for the day and daydream away. Absolutely stunning.
