Hoppy Easter Week!
Local photographer Talia Rose captured this jackrabbit hopping down the bunny trail–a perfect photo for the day after Easter. And a perfect reason to ask if you have any photos of your Easter to share. A little spark of happiness to warm up the work week.

Lots of bird activity to observe at the Arcata Marsh during an Easter afternoon stroll.
Best find (and from the Fool Farm, too)!
Those are plate licking good eggs!
Love those Jackrabbits! There used to be lots of them until the predators came back. We still see quite a few in Benbow. This poor jackrabbit looks like he got caught and released too many times.
We see a few brush rabbits that live in Benbow by the sixth tee blackberry bushes. ( Photo below shamelessly stolen from wikipedia.) They stay very close to the edge of the brush and sometimes come out and graze with the quail. Its hard to tell them apart when they do that.
We have a few of the bush babies and still have some jackrabbits but not as many as we used to.
There used to be some around our place but when they do come out we shoot them
One wheeling Easter Bunny seen in Redway.
Aww!
Went to Taco Bell for Easter dinner.
