Heartbreaking. So avoidable too. Take a lesson, all who use chainsaws. Nothing is more important than safety with a chainsaw! I’m speaking from over 40 years of experience. They are incredibly dangerous.

That is so very sad. Freak accidents can happen even when all rules & protocol are followed & whatever the circumstances, my heart goes out to his loved ones. Saw a pic of my niece from MN holding a small chainsaw wearing shorts & sneakers. She heard from me, you betcha, she sure did.

This is tragic!
I am unfamiliar with chainsaws, I looked up and found a video on safety.
This looks extremely dangerous.

Country living in general is very dangerous, and accidents sudden and usually irrevocable. My condolences to this young man’s family.
