Assault Suspect Arrested After Barricaded in Eureka Home

At approximately 5:30 p.m., an assault allegedly occurred on Glen Street in Eureka. The suspect barricaded himself in the home, according to Sgt. Lenny LaFrance of the Eureka Police Department.

Officers arrived at the residence and attempted to get the suspect to come out.

They were unsure if he had any weapons. They got a court order to enter the room. Once they had the order, they used a battering ram to enter the room.

The suspect was taken into custody.
