[UPDATE 3:05 p.m.] Roads: ‘Significant Snowfall’ Predicted Tonight, Some Snow on 36 and 299 Already
Though the National Weather Service has predicted “significant snowfall” above “2000 to 3000 feet late tonight through Friday evening,” residents in Kneeland, out Hwy 36 and in other mountainous areas are reporting some snow is already sticking as of early Thursday morning.
Highways 36 and 299 have snowplows working on them but no chains required as of 8 a.m.

- Bair rd- Open from Redwood valley to Hoopa, carry chains
- Bald Hills Rd- 4 inches new snow, road clear, carry chains
- Titlow- 5 inches new snow, road open to towers chains required
