I felt it shake twice in Etersberg.
Adjacent to Eka High–very sharp jolt, then slight rolling for several minutes!!
Easy roller here in Eureka…
Easy roller for a few seconds in Shelter Cove at North end

Real hell
Short but strong jolt in Arcata bottom’s.
Knocked a mixing bowl out of a kitchen cabinet, otherwise no damage. It felt strong enough it might have damaged weak brick buildings or such.

I love natural disasters!
Me too. Bring em on. Snowflakes won’t survive!
Wow that was a good shaker. In Rio Dell it was kind of a roller and then a strong jolt. Kind of scary.

Felt a slight movement out here in west Trinity; knew it had to do with an earthquake in the area.
We got a good jolt up here in Bridgeville, then it slacked off to just a couple or so little rolls then nothing!!! A bit of a WAKE UP Call for sure!!!
In Miranda, gentle rock, in my non-rocking chair. A dancing orchid bloom, followed by looking out my window, to see a Bald Eagle winging it North, following the Eel River.
A lovely way to start the day.
Yes, thank you for sharing simone, sounds like you got a nice little message there.
Gag me… lol joking Simone
Faint near McKinleyville airport.
Jolt’n’roll in Hydesville. Got my attention but didn’t get my adrenaline pumping.
Sharp jolt then roll in Eureka between mall and Winco
Eel River Valley near Weott – felt nothing, but I’m on a concrete floor and don’t get the secondary structural shaking that so many do.
Yeah, sorry. We’ve been transmuting most of the earthquake energies for the past few years and unfortunately let a bit extra slip this time. This was scheduled to be an 8 and we intended to tamp it down to a 2, but got a bit distracted and didn’t quite squelch it in time. But we were able to split the difference.
We’ve been thinking of setting up a patreon to solicit donations, but quite frankly a miss like this doesn’t bode well for a good start. We get only one chance to make a first impression, after all. But I assure you we have redoubled our efforts and will maintain a constant meditative balm across the lost coast throughout the near future.
Peace.
🙂 Thank you for this.
Felt and heard it in Loleta by the casino. Heard a crashing noise, then felt the role. Lasted for a good few seconds. Cat didn’t seem too enjoy it so much though. Lol
I just assumed it was a hash lab. I guess not, this time.
Good jolt felt with rolling briefly in McKinleyville. Enough to make new rescue chihuahua jump off the bed and come barking down the hall in case I needed to be defended! She thinks she’s a Rottie!
Moderate-Medium shakkkkkkkkkking for a short time, in Arcata.
Get those emergency kits ready!!!
We’re gonna have a big one within this next year.
We will probably be cut off from neighboring communities and to north/south of county.
Luckily majority of folks here have camping gear!
The area I used to live in was already far from the pavement and our whole neighborhood got together and bought bulk food that we split between us. And made a meeting spot on our road as well as each having walkie talkies with decent range, &made sure we all knew who lived alone &/or were elderly or alter-abled so we would know who needed to be checked on.
It really didn’t take much effort to do and was a great relief knowing we had a good plan in place. Highly recommend it!!
Nice Jelly Roll near Salmon Creek Fault. Quickie, about 1 min.
Fairly lengthy shaking in Jefferson School neighborhood but I was in the second floor of a victorian.
Part 2 just hit… about 3/4 as strong here.
Just had a strong jolt in southern Humboldt; maybe 3 minutes ago.
