[UPDATE: Power on] Petrolia Area Residents Have Been Without Power for About 48 Hours
Information from the Humboldt County Office of Emergency Services:
Approximately 300 customers have been without power in the Petrolia area for about 48 hours, following storm damage to a major transmission line. PG&E is working on a temporary generator to provide power to most of the impacted customers while repairs are completed over the next few days.
The Petrolia Volunteer Fire Department is assessing needs and working with the community to assist residents with critical power resources.
Please review the linked generator safety info from PG&E to ensure that you’re using the right generator for your needs during power outages, and to protect your family from carbon monoxide poisoning by ensuring proper ventilation. Carbon monoxide detectors are inexpensive, can be battery-powered, and should be used when generators are operating near enclosed structures.

there are at least twenty PGE trucks on Wilder ridge trying to put Humpty Dumpty back together again. They even have a snow cat.
Yeah we were without power for a week last year on dyerville. Get over it.
Get off the grid, go alternative!
Yeah. We’re off the grid and we just laugh when the power goes out in town.
You both are so much better than everyone else. Go home and watch solar porn
Solar porn is mighty hot. 😎
I laugh at people that get [edit] when their townie power goes out. City folks with not much self-reliance. Then they get mad that others worked hard to get out of that trap. [edit] whiners- I laugh in their pathetic faces.
