This ‘Sleek Shiny Youngster’ is Looking For a Forever Home

A concerned reader emailed us about this dog that’s listed on Petharbor.com. If you know someone who can help get her into a forever home, please pass this along to them.

ELLA – ID#A084828

I am an unaltered female, brown brindle and white Pit Bull Terrier mix. The shelter thinks I am about 7 months old. I have been at the shelter since Jan 27, 2018. This information is less than 1 hour old.

Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:

ELLA

Formerly named Gingerella, this sleek shiny youngster has a beautiful cinnamon-brindle coat. She has old leg injuries that have since healed, but give her a bit of an odd gait. She doesn’t seem to be in pain nor do the injuries keep her from being quite active. She seems a bit insecure but responds very well to a loving touch. She’s rather small-boned and probably will stay fairly small. She is very sweet and a decent leash walker.

Oh shut up already. Your pointless comment does nothing to help find a home for this pup or any other.

your wrong! This animal looks like a killer! Thats a fact. It should be put down. Not all dogs need good homes. All pit bulls should be outlawed and any aggressive dog should be put down. This dog should be put down. I am sick of liberals like you who bleed your heart to this cause. Its not fair to regular people who have common sense.

Are you saying you are a regular person with common sense? I have two dogs that have pit in them. Very mild mannered peaceful dogs. Not a liberal dear just don’t label all dogs, as with people, the same just because of breed or color of skin. Sounds like you may have some issues friend. Looks like a killer? Bleed my heart. That’s quite a leap from just a few words but okey dokey. Whatever you say. I know a few humans, if I were to follow your thoughts, that should be shot because they look like a killer. You may be one of them killer lookers!

Why pitbulls are problematic- https://www.researchgate.net/publication/305270428_Characteristics_of_1616_Consecutive_Dog_Bite_Injuries_at_a_Single_Institution

They are bred to exaggerate the ability grab with great power and hold on. This is not bias. This what they were bred to be.

It may be true that your dogs are not aggressive. However this dog appears to look aggressive. Not all dogs need to be saved. My two points are 1) its not fair to society to have to deal with aggressive dogs who can kill and have historically killed and 2) not all dogs need to be saved. They are way over populated and animal rights – bleeding heart typs dont help
