Humboldt County Sheriff Deputy Finds Vehicle With Driver 75 feet Off Hwy 101

HCSO Humboldt County Sheriff's Office

A Humboldt County Sheriff deputy patrolling on Hwy 101 southbound by the Palmer Creek Road exit in Fortuna around 12:30 a.m. saw what appeared to be tracks of a vehicle going off the highway into the bushes. On further investigation, he spotted a vehicle about 75 feet into the brush.

The deputy hiked to the vehicle and found the driver in the vehicle. Fire and ambulance responded from the Fortuna area. The driver complained of loss of consciousness; neck and lower back pain. The driver was transported to local hospital.

Please, folks, be careful driving today; it is slippery on the roads.

Imagine if we spent more time saying kind things than negative things.

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope some day you’ll join us
And the world will be as one…

Also, it isn’t a press release. Bobby Kroeker wrote it. We like to acknowledge people doing their job well.

We’ll put Sharon. Next time you have a thought, just let it go…. Do us all a favor. The CHP definitely aren’t my favorite, but they are willing to put themselves in harm’s way everyday, and risk it all to help others. Thank you Kim for posting this article showing the bravery of this LEO.

seeiously, they do not put themselves in harms way, infact they use officer safety as excuess all the time for not acting. yet in this story being a safety officer it was his job to imvestgaite amd he did. good on him but because he had to leave his car amd walk 150 ft round trip we should all be overjoyed that someone is doing what they are paid to do ? i dont buy it. now the story about with the stuck rig amd pregant lady , thats something for a story about. this is just a fluff peice stroking egos

Of course, Bobby lives to stroke egos–not…If you ever met him, you would realize how absolutely absurd that was.

So don’t buy it. Why do you even get out of bed? “Antichrist” is right, and I’m burned out on religion, but geez, wow. Someone going off the road in the snow is a news story.

Glad they survived.

Thank you for having care & concern to hike down the hill in the snow & check the car! It sounds like you saved their life.
