Snow This Weekend; Be Alert If Traveling Through the Emerald Counties

The National Weather Service in Eureka is predicting snow down as low as 2000 feet on Sunday. “A cold airmass will spread south across the region Saturday night into Sunday,” they warn. “This will cause snow levels to fall to around 2000 feet, resulting in accumulating snowfall at highway pass levels in Del Norte, Humboldt, and Trinity Counties.”

We hope you don’t find snow as alarming as the kitty below! Here are some suggestions from Caltrans on how to prepare for travel at this link.
