Agreed. People who appear to have a drug problem should be offered options to redeem themselves, that include, if nothing else, probation, so his/their future behavior and choices can be monitored.

Forced redemption? Like that ever works. When the judge offers rehab in lieu of jail, who says no yet who, having used illegal drugs in the first place, ever intends to keep their part of the bargain? And like a mother-supervisor can be assigned to every twerp who choses to start using drugs but never sets out to be an addict.

Reality is what happens to interfere with happy pipe dreams. Those who insist that everyone else pony up to create their inevitable failures should be held responsible for their disruptive pollyanna-ism. It’s why realistic problem solving can’t be done. No matter what is done, there’s going to be a chorus of self righteous demands for more with a giant side of blame. They will derail everything.

I drove up to Luffenholtz awhile back. When I noticed all the safety glass all over the parking lot, I decided against parking and hiking down. It’s too bad the reality around here doesn’t match the brochures.

I leave my keys and wallet in my car overnight; otherwise I’d lose them, but I don’t live on the coast. I don’t lock my house overnight either. Too bad most can’t live this way.

Thanks HCSO we could use some help up here in Eastern Humboldt.

I pulled into the store this evening on my way home from work. Waded through folks with open alcohol containers to get into the market. Made my purchase went to get into my car while a drunk dude staggers up to the car next to me with a bag of weed, about 1/2 pound I would say, gets the gal out of the drivers seat nearly smacking my car with the door. Hands the weed off to the driver, definitely a drug deal going down. So sick of this. The store people can’t do anything they need a law enforcement presence not just drive byes.

Our communities deserve better.

It’s not just Westhaven, but everywhere one wants to park and leave your car that is not in town or a major parking lot. Rip offs happen everyday at the beaches, trailheads etc.. The only solution, besides setting up a trap and getting rid of these theifs, is to take everything with you from your vehicle and leave the windows down. That way they can go through the car without breaking the window. A sad situation!

This guy don’t live in Mckinleyville. He lives in Hawkins Bar a sub area of Willow Creek. He is known in these parts as a drug dealer of all sorts. A real loser. Thanks for taking him off the streets.
