Casterlin Elementary Hosting Soup Fundraiser

This is a press release from a Casterlin Elementary teacher:

Pictured are Nadia Minikel and Lily Carr glazing one of the large bowls we will be selling.

I wanted to let you know that we are having a fund raiser on Feb. 9th.   Our Soup dinner is coming up on Feb. 9th, and we have been glazing bowls donated by Misty Carr, and firing them.  The bowls can be purchased for $20.00 with dinner, or $15.00 without soup.  The Soup dinner will also be available for $10.00 without the purchase of a bowl.  Dinner will consist of Soup, Salad, and Dessert.  Students will be making the dessert, applesauce cake with a cream cheese frosting. We will have Chili, White Chile, Tortellini, Clam Chowder, and several other soups available.   We will also be selling  cook books that we have written,  handmade brooms, and large glazed  bowls.   Additionally, we will have a Dutch auction on donated items.  The money raised will go towards each grade level’s 8th Grade trip to Washington D.C.  The dinner will be from 3:00 to 7:00, with take out as an option for dinner.
