Worried Community Searches for Missing Petrolia Woman
Again today searchers are combing the Petrolia area looking for missing local woman, Hana Hammer. Hammer was last seen on Thursday, January 25 and heard from by phone from her family’s Petrolia property on the 28th or 29th.
According to Petrolia Fire Captain Drew Barber, her vehicle has been at a different property in the area for five to six days. “She spent some time there,” he said. But they don’t know how long. “In the past, she has sort of dropped out for a few days but never this long,” he explained.
He added, “We have an incredible concerned community that is concerned for her and is really hoping to find her okay….At this moment our hearts are a little broken.”
According to Lori Cook, also with the Petrolia Fire Department, her agency, Southern Humboldt Technical Rescue, local volunteers, and the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue are out searching for Hammer. She says there are about 30 people looking.
According to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department,
Hanna is described as a white female adult, 5’00” tall, 100 Lbs, brown shoulder length hair, and brown eyes.
