Searchers Look for Woman Missing in the Petrolia Area
Residents who live near Petrolia report a woman has been missing in the area since Thursday, January 25. The woman, Hana Hammer, and her car were both gone from her home.
According to Patty Mendes who is a neighbor, both the fire department and the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department were looking for Hammer yesterday. “[Searchers] came to our house twice to see if we had seen her,” she explained. “I guess they found her car on Lighthouse road but they said no one had seen her for about 8 days. [T]hey have been at her residence several times checking.”
Mendes describes Hammer as middle-aged and slenderly built with short, black hair.
If you have any information, please call the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department at (707) 445-7251.

Any photos Kym?
Not yet. I’m hopeful that there will be something tomorrow.
Hi,
Hana is my step-sister. I attach a photo (from some years ago).
I’m concerned about her and hope she will be found soon.
