[UPDATE 8:37 a.m.] Flames Visible in Structure on Thomas Street in Fortuna, According to First Reports

At approximately 8:30 a.m., Emergency Dispatch sent firefighters to the 2800 block of Thomas Street in Fortuna. They had received a report of flames showing in the residence. This is reportedly across from Toddy Thomas School.

“It appears to be a chimney fire,” reports a police officer at the scene.

UPDATE 8:37 a.m.: According to a firefighter now on scene, there are no flames visible in a single story wood structure. Other resources are being cancelled.
