[UPDATE 12:13 p.m.] Woman Still in Vehicle After Accident on Hwy 36, According to Scanner Traffic
According to information on the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page, at approximately 11:50 a.m. a single vehicle ran partially off the side of a cliff on Hwy 36 Near McClellan Mountain Road. Information over the scanner stated that the woman was still in the vehicle which was also partially in the road at approximately mile marker 30.2.
However, details coming in at 11:57 are conflicting with earlier scanner information. According to that, the vehicle struck a rock wall.
Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Department and STAR Ambulance are responding.
UPDATE 12:13 p.m.: According to a report from emergency personnel over the scanner, the vehicle, a Chevy Silverado pickup, struck an embankment. The patient is alert but complaining of chest pain.
One lane traffic control has been put in place and a tow truck was requested.

36 eats another one again… had so many close calls from idiot drivers in my lane passing and crossed over a double yellow. Can’t believe more people aren’t killed each year.

I was thinking the other day that it had been quite some time since we had a wreck here on Hwy 36, now look it’s yet another one on a rainy day after a brief dry period!!!

Possibly it was yet another “Cracker Jack Driver” as in they got their CDL from a container of Cracker Jack Snack Mix as the “Toy Surprise”!!!
