This ‘Gentle and Polite’ Guy is Looking for a Forever Home
A concerned reader emailed us about this dog that’s listed on Petharbor.com. If you know someone who can help get him into a forever home, please pass this along to them.
I am a neutered male, black and white Pit Bull Terrier. The shelter thinks I am about 2 years and 1 month old. I have been at the shelter since Nov 13, 2017.
Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Pepper is a little bit shy at first, but warms up quickly. He has a distinctively marked pink & black nose and great smile! He is gentle and polite, but has great fun with the soccer ball in the playpen, butting it around with his head and chasing it! He has great leash manners and sits beautifully on command. Come by the shelter and meet Pepper today!

When I saw the headline for this entry on the LC Outpost, I thought it was for a man who was homeless. In this season of Peace on Earth, Goodwill toward Man, this seemed a way to help at least one individual who was down on his luck and I eagerly clicked on it. Then I read the entry and found it’s for a dog. What a shock of dashing expectations.
Now I am pondering the path of emotions I am going through. We can advertise for dogs that need homes, but no one does this for people.
