[UPDATE 11:22 a.m.] Law Enforcement and Coast Guard Headed to Luffenholtz Beach After Cries for Help Heard

A spokesperson for the US Coast Guard confirmed that his agency was putting a helicopter in the air to search after the report of a woman screaming for help was heard in the area of Luffenholtz Beach which is in the Westhaven area north of McKinleyville about 11 a.m. today.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office also has deputies on the scene.

UPDATE 11:22 a.m.: According to scanner information, the woman has been located.

Looks like this could be in the same area as missing woman Erin Henry. Any word on status of the woman found on the beach?

It was my understanding that Ms. Henry disappeared from Arcata.

There were reports she was walking by clam beach around the time she was reported missing so wasn’t sure if this could be related or not
