Mateel Displaying, Auctioning Off Redwood Carvings Donated by Artist

This is a press release from the Mateel Community Center:

The Mateel is honored to announce they have been gifted with these exquisite redwood carvings, which will be auctioned off to help support the Mateel Community Center.

The carvings will be on display throughout the month of December at

various local businesses and can also be seen on the Mateel Forever float which will be in the Parade of Lights December 8th, in Garberville.

The artist’s work will be familiar to many locals. 14 years ago he visited this area and left a trail of carvings in his footsteps.  Some of these are: the Hand at the door of the Mateel, the Unicorn at Beginnings school, the Butterfly at Weott school and many more.

The artist’s work can be viewed on the Facebook page The WareWolf which displays his art at The WareWolf, located at 533 William Ave Davis West Virginia 26260. Anyone interested in commissioning a piece can do so by contacting The Mateel @Mateel.org

P.S It’s all for the kids!!!
