[UPDATE] Missing Man Found

This is a press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a voluntary missing person possibly experiencing a mental health crisis in the Redwood Valley Area.

Robert Eggink, 39, was last seen on Dec. 5, 2017 on Chezem Rd. sitting on a rocky ledge overlooking Redwood Creek.

Eggink is described as a white male adult, approximately 5’11” tall, 150 lbs, with strawberry blonde hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a military-green parka and gray sweatpants.

Anyone with information on Eggink’s location is asked to call the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at (707) 445-7251.

UPDATE Thursday: According to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office: Missing person Robert Eggink has been located unharmed.

They issued a press release:

Redwood Valley missing person Robert Eggink, 39, was found unharmed today.

Eggink was spotted around 8:30 a.m. in the area of Chezem Rd. by a person familiar with Eggink’s missing status. Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the area. A CHP helicopter in the area assisted in locating Eggink along Chezem Rd.

Deputies and a CHP officer contacted Eggink at the 1200 block of Chezem Rd.

Yes. The people from Redwood Valley drank the kool aid….literally. that is where the saying came from.

It wasn’t Redwood Valley where this took place, it was on Chezem Rd….a totally separate area…. and he doesn’t even live here!…but I do and have for 20 years…the only “weird” things that happen out here on our short little road, are by visitors, not inhabitants.

Humboldt has a Redwood Valley, too. Roughly east of Trinidad/west of Hoopa.

Ah. I had no idea. Blue Lakes (Lake Co) has the same problem. Not that you need more to do, but county-labels could help us better understand.

You do very well kym. Better than most could or would do that visit your site. And you manage to maintain a friendly appearance to all even if you are secretly wishing their connection to the net would be dissrupted for good. Always smile at your comments.
