  • That is a beautiful picture, Kym!

  • The woodwork is marvelous

  • Beautiful family! 12 of our huge Italian family is here WHAT A BLAST!!lovin it,lovin it.HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all of you,and bless the beasts🐺🐩🐕🐖🐎🐔🐧🐿

  • Thanksgiving picnic on the Lost Coast Headlands. Perfect weather! A little fog, some clouds and a bit of sun. Best way to give thanks!

  • Had to work. Missed all the alcoholism and family spats. Like other non-boozehounds I know my history ….

Thanksgiving is to honor the Pilgrim survivors (half died the first year), not to drink yourself silly and stuff yourself too. Disgusting spectacle.

    • Thanksgiving is recognized as a harvest celebration, Stormy.
Is there no joy in your life?

    • I feel ya Stormy

    • Dammit, Stormy, I don’t want to feel for you because you are often so hard on others, but you caught my heart. I’m sorry life has been so rough that your only memories of the holidays are alcoholics and spats.

I’ve been extraordinarily lucky in my life. No one was even tipsy at this gathering but a few glasses were raised with wine (my middle son and his grandfather made some of it), a little eggnog was shared, and there was a lot of laughter and love.

May you eventually get to the place in your life when you can see joy and not want to spoil it. I’d send you a hug but I suspect you would resent it. Nonetheless, may you have a little laughter and a little warmth soften your heart this week

    • I used to have to work all holidays so the other employees could spend time with all their families to give thanks. It may have been a small gesture, but it made ME happy. I wish you peace, and next year you can come to my home for dinner.no alcohol but lots of laughs, and we play all kinds of games. Stormy I’m not kidding!

  • What a great photo! Even Norman Rockwell would be inspired by this family photo.

  • Thanks for sharing your Thanks-giving scene, Kym.

    • I was hoping to see a few other holiday happy memories but I expect Stormy made everyone afraid to share their joy for fear he would tarnish it.

      • Or your state of family joy is unusual. Are you sure Stormy meant to condemn your gathering, not the history of his own family?

It’s so hard to decide from many comments exactly what was meant. Which is I guess why some restrict their comments to name calling obsenities- it avoids misunderstandings. Otherwise comments are mostly understood through the bias of the reader.

      • Some celebrations, such as ours, may not have been photographed. Others may not want to share images publicly to maintain anonymity. I doubt Stormy scared anyone off by pissing on Thanksgiving; his negativity is inconsequential, please don’t take it to heart, Kym.
There were 15 present on Thursday at a homestead in Briceland– two young couples, 11 “mature” adults, and one empty chair for those unable to attend (the dearly departed). Many toasts were made, love was evident, and laughter heard often. We were grateful for the occasion to share life together, and the blessing of each other.

        • I’ve always loved the idea of an empty chair for those who have left us. But we’re always scrounging for one last place to sit. Still, your comment made me want to try it even more.

  • Now THAT is a good looking family. I should know, because I, SATAN (Prince of Darkness) am also blessed with dashing good looks. (my family, not so much)

  • Whopping great picture… and mine was only not boring because spiral ham.

  • Happy holidays!
