At approximately 4:43 this morning, emergency dispatchers received a report of a structure fire in the 200 block of Ash Street in Rio Dell.

Crews from Rio Dell and Scotia arrived to find heavy flames and power lines down. All residents were out of the building though.

At approximately, 5:26 a.m., the incident commander reported that the fire was “well under control” and that crews would be “in heavy mop up for the next two hours.”
