[UPDATE: Power Restored] Power Is Out to Almost 2000 Customers in the Trinidad/Orick Area

PG&E FEATURE CandleAt approximately 7:06 p.m., electrical power went out to Trinidad area customers of PG&E from Crannell to a little north of Patricks Point. PG&E reports that 1491 customers lost service. At this time, PG&E doesn’t know the cause and said they have a crew on the way to assess the problem.

Just a few minutes earlier than the Trinidad outage, the area north of Big Lagoon to Prairie Creek Visitor Center also lost power. Over 350 customers in this area around Orick are still without power. PG&E has a crew on their way to the area.

UPDATE 8:36 p.m.: Power came back on for about 900 customers.

UPDATE: Power restored.

I suspect it’s more likely to be mother nature’s outdoor show. Supposed to be windy the rest of the week too…

Wrong part of the state son. Might want to loosen the tin foil a bit. OK?

Getting sick of this- TWICE in a month a drunk hitting a power pole has taken out our power for hours. Sick of it.
