City of Arcata Invites You to Help Clean Up Jolly Giant Creek on Saturday
This is a press release from the City of Arcata:
The City of Arcata’s Environmental Services Department, along with Humboldt Fish Action Council and the Humboldt State University’s Natural Resources Club invite you to help clean up Jolly Giant Creek on Saturday, November 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Volunteers will meet at 9 a.m. in front of Bug Press, located at 1461 M Street in Arcata. Everyone’s welcome to help clean up trash and improve the streamside ecosystem! Participants will be provided with tools, beverages and lunch. Please be sure to wear work clothes and closed-toed shoes or boots.
This is the second to the last opportunity to get outside and help care for Arcata’s valuable open spaces in 2017. There will be one more volunteer work day on Saturday, November 25th, at a location to be determined. For more information, call (707) 825-2163 or email [email protected].
