Semi Upended Over Guardrail South of Willits Yesterday

Press release from the CHP:

On October 19th, 2017, at approximately 1745 hours, a single semi-truck collision occurred on US-IOI S/B near the rock quarry, south of Willits. Due to the wet roadway conditions and the speed of the semi-truck, the driver lost control of the semi-truck causing it to collide with the guardrail on the right shoulder. The semi-truck traveled through the guardrail and came to rest with the cab hanging over the steep embankment to the west side of the road while the trailer remained blocking the southbound lanes. The driver was uninjured in the collision.
CalTrans, Ca!Fire, and CHP redirected southbound traffic into the northbound lanes in order for crews to recover the semi-truck.

Yes. Great. Have another truck wreck.

Slow down, drive safely, responsibly, and below the standard 60-65+mph that all trucks run at these days. Rig speed limit is 55, please be aware that we are watching and will report you for speeding, swerving, dangerous operation, or appearance of intoxication. Please be cognizant of everyone else’s safety, as rigs are dangerous.

Hey, geat! Another new strain name: ‘Truck Wreck’! Yeah, well, OK, it’s better than ‘Sheriff Arpaio’.

Drive your rig safely, don’t kill me, my people, or anyone else. Don’t crash, don’t damage property, and everyone will be happy, and you won’t have to threaten anyone…
