Just prior to 6 p.m., a Rio Dell police officer attempted to stop a vehicle allegedly stolen about 5:45 p.m. headed southbound on Hwy 101. The driver, a woman, at first refused to stop, then she pulled into the Scotia offramp, stopped, and put her hands out the window, according to the officer on the scanner.

For a while, she refused to follow the officer’s directions. However, by 6:02 p.m., she was detained by the officer.
