Leo Durr: ‘His talents and concerns were as many as his friends’

This section includes both obituaries and memories. Honoring our loved ones who have died does not end immediately after their passing. We recognize that… so we’re extending our obituary section to include individuals who may have left a long time ago. If you want to remember someone who is gone, either recently or longer ago, please send a photo and a few sentences to [email protected]. Tell us why you would like to honor the person–is it their birthday, the date of their passing or someother date of significance to you.

Leo DurrLeo Arthur Durr unexpectedly left his body and this earth on September 22nd 2017. Born in Des Moines Iowa January 25th 1959. Leo was preceded in death by his parents Pauline and Leroy Durr also his sister Judy and brother Bill.

He leaves behind his daughter Heather and sisters Donna, Sheila, Carly and Rhonda and many nieces and nephews for many generations.

He will forever be missed by his longtime love Sandra and her two children.

Leo’s Love extended to many organizations which he donated to. The Native AmericanChildren’s Fund and Wounded Veterans fund, just to mention a few. His talents and concerns were as many as his friends.Too many to mention here.

Music was his delight and the sweet chords of his guitar will again ReSound more than their now deafening silence. And the music will be lifted up onto the wings of the wind straight to our hearts.

A celebration for the life of Leo Durr will be held October 22nd at the community park, first left before Tooby, from 1pm till 6pm. Please bring a side dish and beverage. Lasagna will be served.

I hope everyone that knew Leo will attend. Thank you.
