(VIDEO) Caltrans Shows You How They’re Dealing With the Landslide that Closed 101 Last Spring
Last Spring, Highway 101, the North Coast’s primary transportation corridor, was closed by a landslide, leaving Caltrans employees scrambling to reopen the roadway as fast as possible.
Although the roadway has since reopened, work is still being done, and anyone traveling along that stretch of the highway should expect to add a few minutes to their usual travel time.
Caltrans put together the video below to show you “the specialized equipment being used to clear slide debris and improve slide zone safety for workers and motorists.”
