Jacoby Creek School One of 25 California Honorees Recognized as National Blue Ribbon School for 2017
This is a press release from Jacoby Creek School:
Jacoby Creek School is pleased to announce we have been selected as a National Blue Ribbon School for 2017. Jacoby Creek (K-8) is one of only 25 schools at any grade level in California selected for the honor this year.
The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program honors public and private elementary, middle and high schools where students achieve very high learning standards or are making notable improvements in closing the achievement gap.
“We are so honored to be recognized for the hard work and commitment to excellence of our staff, parents and community,” said Melanie Nannizzi, Principal and of Jacoby Creek School, “this is a meaningful recognition of the excellence in education we strive for every day.”
Now in its 35th year, the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program has bestowed recognition on more than 8,500 schools. On Nov. 6-7, the Secretary and the Department of Education will celebrate with these honorees at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C.
