13th annual Humboldt Hills Hoedown
Saturday September 30th
This Saturday, the Humboldt Hills Hoedown is celebrating its 13th year of Bluegrass & Beyond at the Mateel. The Hoedown will also feature vendors, a lively kid corral, delicious food including BBQ, beer & wine, down-home country games and a whole lotta country fun. Doors open at high noon with music ’til midnight. Tickets are $25 in advance and online, or $30 at the gate.

Mateel Comedy Cabaret
Friday, October 6th For October we join forces with Savage Henry Magazine, who are hosting their 6th Annual Comedy Festival. Over 100 comedians from all over the country are descending on Humboldt County to perform in over 40 shows at 12 different venues in Northern Humboldt, a select few will perform at the Mateel in So Hum. Join Keith Bergman, Samantha Rager, Dash Kwiatkowski, MooreDevine Experience, plus other special guests for this very special performance. The doors are at 8:30pm, show starts at 9pm. It’s a $10 cover at the door.
Wednesday, October 25th
Ineffable Live and Mateel Community Center present Brooklyn, New York Hip Hop duo The Underachievers in an all-ages show. The Underachievers tour in celebration of their album: Renaissance released earlier this year. Injury Reserve and Warm Brew will perform opening sets. Tickets are available in advance for $20 online An Early-Entry VIP package is available for $42.51 and a Meet and Greet package is available for $72.86. The doors are at 8pm and the show starts at 9pm.
KMUD Radio & Mateel Community Center Present
Halloween Boogie, Friday October 27th
Five Alarm Funk and Stymie & the Pimp Jones Luv Orchestra will perform at this funky annual Halloween costume party. Tickets are available at local outlets in advance or online for $25. The tickets are $30 at the door. The doors are at 8pm and the show starts at 9pm.
