Humboldt County Board of Supervisors Seeking Nominations to Fill Seat on Partnership HealthPlan Board of Commissioners

Humboldt County Department of Public Works BlurThe Humboldt County Board of Supervisors is seeking nominations to fill one seat on the Partnership HealthPlan Board of Commissioners. Partnership HealthPlan of California is the health plan for Medi-Cal patients in Humboldt and 13 other counties around the state. It is a county-organized health system governed by a 33-member Board of Commissioners, of which three individuals are appointed to represent Humboldt County.

At this time the Board of Supervisors is looking to fill one seat.

Commission members serve 4-year terms.  The Board of Commissioners meets bi-monthly on the fourth Wednesday of every even month from 10 am to 2 pm, with the exception of the December meeting which will be held on the first Wednesday of the month. The first meeting of the appointees’ term will be Dec. 6, 2017.

Commissioners are asked to participate on two sub-committees, with various meeting schedules, and an annual full-day strategic planning retreat in February. The successful appointee can attend meeting in-person or via video conference. Commissioners serve without compensation, but may receive a stipend and travel allowance from the health plan.

If you are interested in serving on the Commission, please fill out an application and submit it no later than October 18, 2017.  The Director of Health and Human Services will receive and evaluate nominations and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors. An appointment will be made in November.
