Juvenile Arrested for Stolen Vehicle After Pursuit Ended in Traffic Accident
Yesterday about 1:10 p.m., a pursuit by a California Highway Patrol Officer ended with a juvenile arrested and a stolen car from Fresno recovered near Myers Flat.
According to a CHP spokesperson, the officer attempted to pull over a black Honda Civic on Hwy 101 because of excessive speed. The driver failed to yield and fled down the Myers Flat offramp. The car collided with the embankment but the driver managed to keep going, turning northbound on the Avenue of the Giants.
The CHP spokesperson said that soon after turning onto the Avenue, however, a vehicle stopped. The driver, an out-of-the-area juvenile, was taken into custody without incident.
One of the passengers was taken to Jerold Phelps hospital with minor injuries. Another passenger received no injuries. Both were released.

A stolen vehicle. Trial as an adult! Messages have to start being sent that the public has had enough.
Kym if my kids ever get arrested for something like this I will give you written consent to use their names in hope it would make them embarrassed and ashamed!! Little punk kids these days have no respect!
Let’s hope the kid has learned something.
We’ll all those comments bashing the CHP and defending the driver on the earlier article look pretty stupid about now 😂
Dumb kid would have never found his way out of the hills.
Actually that might have been a GOOD thing!!! Except for those of us who live in the hills!!!
