Robbery Suspect Arrested After Allegedly Leaving Identifying Evidence at Scene of Crime

On September 14, 2017, at about 11:45 a.m., the Eureka Police Department arrested 26 year old Eddie Koch of Eureka, after he was contacted near the 1900 block of Broadway.

Koch is the suspect in the September 7, 2017 robbery of a gas station in Eureka and in the attempted robbery at the same location on the morning of September 8, 2017. In the attempted robbery, Koch was chased off by employees and left behind identifying evidence.

Koch was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility for robbery, attempted robbery, possession of a deadly weapon, and resisting arrest. Detectives are investigating Koch’s possible involvement in other robberies that occurred in July and August. Anyone with information regarding the string of robberies is asked to call Senior Detective Ron Harpham at (707) 441-4305.
