Man Arrested After Pushing Woman He’s Dating to the Ground and ‘Causing a Lasting Injury to Her Face,’ Says MCSO
This is a press release from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office:
On 09-08-2017 at approximately 5:50 P.M., Deputies from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office were notified of a possible domestic violence incident that occurred at 44901 North Highway 101 in Laytonville, California.
Laytonville Cahto Tribal Police had received information regarding the incident, and notified MCSO dispatch to request Deputies to respond and investigate.
Cahto Tribal Police officers responded to the area and located the involved parties who were identified as Brandon Mitchell and an adult female. Deputies investigated and learned that Mitchell and the adult female have a dating relationship and had been involved in an argument.
During the argument, Mitchell pushed the adult female to the ground causing a lasting injury to her face. The adult female had visible injuries to her face when contacted by Deputies during the investigation.
Mitchell was subsequently placed under arrest for 273.5 PC (Felony Domestic Violence Battery).
Mitchell was booked into the Mendocino County Jail where he was to be held in lieu of $25,000.00 bail.
