The deceased victim in the Eureka Police Department’s shooting this weekend, 08/25, has been identified as 58 year old Frederick William Loftus (02/04/1959) of Eureka. Next of kin has been notified. Persons having information on this case may contact EPD’s Detective Ron Harpham at (707) 441-4060.

Eureka (Humboldt) has always had these kinds of violent crimes. This is not anything new !!
