Good news! Alderpoint road is open to one-way controlled traffic this morning after the Saw Fire yesterday forced its closure as well as evacuations.

Cal Fire Battalion Chief Laura Coleman told us this morning, “The Saw Fire is still being mapped, but this morning they’re putting it at 80 acres [and] 70% contained.” See photos of the blaze that sent residents fleeing by clicking here.

UPDATE 8:15 p.m.: Humboldt County Office of Emergency Services tweeted, “Evac order lifted for Sawmill Rd.”

UPDATE 12:23 p.m.: Battalion Chief Laura Coleman wrote, the “final acreage is 85; 100% contained with heavy mop-up and multiple resources at scene for the next few days; negative injuries; negative structure loss; negative evacuations; negative road closures. Cause under investigation.

Oh give me a home
Where the cannabis grows
And Cousin Sydney and Fungi do play.
Where seldom is heard
The peabrain prohibitionist CHUMP’s word.
And the skies are not cloudy all day.

A delivery truck just got turned around on Alderpoint Road. They were told the road is closed again to anyone but fire personnel.

In Tampa Frontier refuses to inform customers of the cause for the massive service outage. No phone, internet, and or TV is most frustrating when you are trying to take continual learning classes on the weekends.

To cheep or to incompetent to put in place redundant services will result in customers departing this already marginal service provider.

Hey what’s up with all the RV/ trailer fires, along the roads of So. Humboldt?
I have counted at least 6 in the past 10 months . I find this really concerning, as we may have an arsonist(s) among us. Or it’s the most unlikely series of coincidences?
