Name of Motorcyclist in Fatal 299 Crash Released

This morning the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office released the name of the Arcata motorcyclist who died in a crash July 23 on Hwy 299. They identified the deceased man as Donald Miller born August 22, 1961.

According to an earlier press release by the California Highway Patrol, Miller was traveling eastbound on Hwy 299 between Salyer and Hawkins Bar when, for an unknown reason, his motorcycle went into the westbound lane where it was struck by an SUV.

Fire and Rescue personnel at the scene pronounced him dead.
