[UPDATE 3:28 p.m.] Vegetation Fire Reported Burning on Sawmill Road East of Garberville
As of 3:09 p.m., a fire is burning east of Garberville in the 200 block of Sawmill Road. Power lines are down.
Cal Fire, Garberville Fire, Redway Fire, an air attack, an air tanker, a helicopter, dozers, and Eel River Camp inmate crews have been directed to respond.
UPDATE 3:21 p.m.: The incident commander reports that this is a 20×20 spot.
UPDATE 3:28 p.m.: The bulk of the fire response including aircraft as well as Garberville and Redway Fire have been canceled. 100×50 foot spot fire. Now contained. However, the power lines are still live. The incident commander is requesting an estimated time for PG&E to respond.

A friend just had a glass jar on her front seat and the sun hit it at just the right angle to burn a hole in her seat. Luckily it didnt catch fire.
