Press release from the Bulldogs:
Bulldogs youth football and cheer registration is happening now! Registration forms have been handed out to all schools in the Southern Humboldt and Leggett areas. Forms are also available at All Sport in Garberville. Bulldogs is still looking for some additional coaches. Bulldogs offers scholarships and reduced rate for those in need. No child will be turned away. Bulldogs is also hosting a football camp in Redway, the last week of July. Do you think it would be doable for my daughter to do soccer and cheerleading? Anyone know what the schedule is like?
Call the Parks and Recreations program in the community you reside. Playing sports is valuable, but also check into art programs. Like the Morris Graves program. And there might be music programs your children will like. Last year there were a number of girls who played baseball with the boys. And riding bikes is a good activity as would be swimming. Arcata has several programs.
I haven’t heard yet, but rowing had a kids program last year. Humboldt Bay Rowing Association.
