Is It Preposterous to See a Rhinoceros in the Redwoods?
Bryant, a bicyclist enthusiast, said “This awesome man is biking with a 250lb rhino statue behind him to raise money and awareness for rhinos and other animals [that are on] the endangered species list! He’s super nice and stopped to take a picture with me and I made a donation and shared a few bits of touring advice for the area.”

I don’t see any flotation…
Two weeks is plenty of time, though. Machines have been built from scratch in less!
I saw him on the big hill right before loleta exit. Thought maybe he had lost a bet. lol
Just passed him coming up Garberville hill now
Thank you, Morgan, for bringing attention to this cause, and thanks so much, Kym, for publicizing it here.
Thank you so much, Matt, for what you’re doing. Great idea and very well executed.
Would love to read about the making of the model; couldn’t find any info on the website. If you read this comment, please let us know where to find that info, if available.
It’s well worthwhile clicking the link to rhinoride.org and reading about the plight of the rhinos and this project. Easy to donate via Paypal through the website, too.
Thanks again, folks.
We passed him at the Avenue of the Giants sign. I noticed that he had the horn pointed away from his butt.
Has more to do with the rhino facing automobile traffic behind it and headed in the same direction than, well, um, whatever.
The rhino’s name is Lunar.

Saw him yesterday at McKenlyville exit on 101 Southbound around 3:45pm. Rock On Dude! That’s Awesome!
When I saw the rhino southbound just north of Dean Creek it looked so real it startled me as I tried to figure out how many lanes were a safe distance to pass this critter.
Saw him before crescent city on the steep uphill grade.. still pedalling. Motivated..
I was telling everybody I seen a rhino in the woods but none believed me
There’s a full-time rhino in the yard of a house on Main Street in Ferndale. No kidding.
Awsome!!thanks dude for what your doing.
I thought he was practicing for the Kinetic Sculpture race. He would have received a bit of exposure there.
