That’s one way to kill off the MJ smokers…spray poison on the product…of course, poison is sprayed on our GMO “food” with the same goal, thin the herd…

Monsanto, makers of Agent Orange and RoundUp, also created Paraquat:

There is no reason to use rodenticides at all! Clean up the mes that is attracting the rodents and accept that some native rodents live in the forest. Traps are ethically superior to positions in every regard.

Yes and it shouldnt be as big an issue this year, the rodents are seeking water so they ring plants to get to the inner cambium. Theres plenty of water for them this year.
I used to leave a half barrel of water outside my fenced garden for deer/bear, and put bowls of water in my greenhouse for rodents and they stopped chewing the plants. And the ladybugs are coming back in force, have seen so many already, will definitely help with lil pests like mites. The dime size yellow spiders eat mites too.
Dont spray unless you absolutely have to. Outdoors you can kill the beneficial insects with certain sprays. Buy ladybugs and release them, theyre super helpful garden critters.

Indoor grows seem to use lots of chemical fertilizers and sprays, i guess folks wont be able to use avid inside anymore!!! The amount of chemicals in humboldt bay must be off the charts, a lot of that crap gets put down drains and dumped in backyards. Ive seen a few backyards in eureka with drains in the backyard that go directly to the bay, probably intended for flooding, but chems get dumped down them.

Well done! The critters just want water. And shrews eat POUNDS of bugs on the side.

Exactly. There’re natural pesiticides and predatory creatures that’ll do the job, no harm, no foul.

Here’s an excellent place to get many different species of predatory mites and predatory insects that predate upon plant pests:
http://www.arbico-organics.com/category/mite-control

Give ’em a call and explain your problem. There’s someone on staff that’s knowledgable about which mites are best for specific pest mites, particularly with regard to use on cannabis plants.
Don’t be shy; you can openly discuss the problem with them and get solid, legit advice on what will work best for your specific needs.
They ship to California; you can have your mites in 24 hours.

“The beneficial insects and Natural Insecticides listed below will help eliminate mite infestations on your plants. If you have specific questions or concerns for your crop, please call us for a free consultation at 1-800-827-2847. “

Kym, a call to Arbico might be the basis of a good follow-up article on better solutions to pest problems with regard to cannabis plants, or just a good article all on its own.
The mite guy might be a good interview subject.

Poisoning your medical crop is fucked up. You won’t be selling it through clubs or collectives. Because they test for pesticide residue. Both Avid and Eagle20 are carcinogenic. Have fun.

OMG ATRACTED TO THE WEED?
TRY DYING OF THIRST. All ya’ll take what water sources they have in most “spots” leave a dish of water or three around the plants you won’t have a plant chewed or screwed. Truth.

Thank goodness for you (and some others) for thinking this through. All creatures need water. It’s not hard to understand if one gives a damn.

Many mj growers are using thyme guard a thyme oil extract that will take care of bacteria, fungus, insects and deter many rodents. Google it, it is sold in California , Washington, fl, my, nj ,mi, and is EPA exempt

If it’s not on their list you can’t use it, natural or not. Soon enough the product labels will have to specify use on MJ and directions. That’s just standard in the nursery industry in general. No home made formulas will ever be legal fyi
