Another Trimmer Arrested in the Homicide of Laytonville Grower

Just hours ago, law enforcement arrested one more trimmer implicated in the alleged murder of Jeffrey Settler of Laytonville. Jesse Cole Wells was arrested in South Lake Tahoe today at 4:15 p.m., according to South Lake Tahoe Now, an online news source.

Wells along six other trimmers is alleged to have taken part in a robbery that resulted in the death of Settler. Around 100 pounds of marijuana are alleged to have been taken. The robbery is alleged to have taken place because of a dispute over money.

The only remaining suspect not yet arrested is Gary Blank III, 34, of Garberville,

So far the following suspects—Zachary Ryan Wuester, Gary Fitzgerald, Abdirahman “Richie” Mohamed, Michael Andrew Kane, Frederick Gaestel, and now Jesse Wells have been arrested.
